Halloween berry muffin

For the first year we decided to celebrate Halloween with family and friends, and I have been looking for funny and scary recipes, with weird shapes, green, orange and black colors.

Finally, I was running out of time and just choose one of my blueberry muffin recipe and added some orange frosting and black sparkles on it !

For 12 muffins / cup cakes:

Wet mix:
– 2 eggs
– 150 g Granulated sugar
– 50 g brown sugar (cassonade)
– 2 table spoons of raspberry jam
– 100 g of melted butter
– 200 g of blueberry (or any berry, I often use frozen cherries or frozen raspberries)

Dry mix:
– 250 g flour
– salt
– 1 tea spoon of baking powder (= 1 sachet de levure chimique for the frenchies !)

Preparation:
In a large bowl, mix together eggs with sugars,  then, melted butter, jam and finally the fruits.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking powder.

Then, add the wet mix to the dry mix all at once. Mix a bit but not too long or your fruit will become a “puree”.

Spoon the batter into the muffin cups and bake for 20min at 180 degrees C (=350 degrees F).
